Abstract：Objective: To investigate the effect of FOCUS-PDCA circulatory management on blood glucose and hypoglycemia during maintenance hemodialysis in patients with diabetic nephropathy. Methods: The 108 patients with diabetic nephropathy admitted from January 2013 to January 2018 in our hospital were randomly divided into 2 groups according to the random number table method, 54 cases in each group. The control group received routine care and the observation group received FOCUS-PDCA cycle management care. The fasting blood glucose levels and the incidence of hypoglycemia were compared between the two groups. Results: At the beginning of dialysis, the control of blood glucose level at 2h after dialysis and at the end of dialysis were all better than those in control group (P <0.05).The incidences of hypoglycemia in observation group 1h, 2h, 3h and 4h after dialysis were lower than those in control group Control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion: The application of FOCUS-PDCA circulation management in maintenance hemodialysis patients with diabetic nephropathy can effectively maintain the blood glucose level and reduce the incidence of hypoglycemia, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
