Abstract:Objective: To investigate the correlation of the levels of uric acid with inflammation factor in type 2 diabetes. Methods: One hundred and seven cases of patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into contral group, microalbuminuria group and clinical proteinuria group according to urinary albumin to creatinine ratio, the levels of uric acid and C-reactive protein were detected. Results: The levels of uric acid and C-reactive protein,TNF-α,ICAM-1 of contral group, microalbuminuria group and clinical proteinuria group were on the rise, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05), the levels of uric acid with C-reactive protein,TNF-α,ICAM-1 were positively correlated. Conclusion: Uric acid leading to diabetic nephropathy through inflammatory reaction in type 2 diabetes.
